Countries > Kenya
When the green landscapes of Uganda meet the safari adventures of Tanzania – Kenya has it all.
In Kenya, you can visit the Masai Mara Reserve, the direct geographical continuation of the Serengeti Reserve in Tanzania, and perhaps the most famous safari destination in the world. Adventure seekers can climb Mount Kenya, the second-highest mountain in Africa, and in the north of the country, near Lake Turkana, you can visit the Turkana tribe, dressed in their traditional and colorful attire. Due to Kenya's location on the Great Rift Valley, the country is filled with unique lakes and craters. In the east, you'll find the major port city of Mombasa and beautiful beaches that rival those of Zanzibar. Also in the east is Lamu Island, which is an adventure on its own.
If you close your eyes during a long drive and suddenly feel like you've woken up in New York, don't worry – it's Nairobi. The bustling metropolis is quite impressive, and it even has its own 'Central Park'!

My trip in Africa lasted half a year, of which I spent a total of two and a half weeks in Kenya. In this part of the trip, my father and brother were with me, and we were already two weeks after Tanzania.
